Introducing Jonne Amaya

February 3, 2023

We're honored and excited to announce our creative partnership with Mexican American jewelry designer, Jonne Amaya. Our story is one of friendship, admiration and serendipity—

Our Story

Jonne and I met back in 2015 when I launched my previous jewelry brand, Vrai & Oro. She joined our small team as customer experience but quickly grew into doing a little (actually a lot) of everything. I loved working with Jonne; she was passionate, curious and authentic but most of all humble. At the time, I had no idea she was such a talented jewelry designer with a degree in gemology herself—a true diamond in the rough.

After a few years, Jonne ventured off on her own, specializing in transforming unworn and outdated jewelry into beautiful modern heirlooms. Her style is bold and unique yet simple and subtle at the same time. I wasn’t the only one in love with her designs—from features in Mexico’s Vogue to designing for J-Lo herself, she’s been carving out a niche in the jewelry world.

A few years later, after my own transition from Vrai, I received a call from Jonne out of the blue. We reconnected and bonded over our mutual appreciation for symbolic jewelry and in the moment I knew she would be the perfect fit as our lead designer for Silent Opus.

Jonne follows her heart and gut when designing so you can expect organic shapes and sculptural forms with a deep sense of intention, detail and a hint of nostalgia. We can’t wait to share what’s to come.

Joining Silent Opus as our lead jewelry designer — Jonne brings a contemporary touch to traditional styles. Always metal-prominent and never mass-produced, she takes pride in the intimacy of designing personalizable jewelry that stands the test of time.

Graphology, I'm actually pretty good at reading people's habits and personality traits from their handwriting. For a moment in time when I was 18 or 19, I considered taking up graphology as a career. Graphologists deal a lot with solving mysteries, Family disputes, Fraud etc.

The Duo Bracelet, 100%. So beautiful. The shape, the stones everything. I would stack 2, one all diamond and one with Sapphire and emeralds.

Juan Gabriel; was so ahead of his time and broke a ton of norms. His style and his Music are eternal

Lately have been into TikTok, but at the same time, I hate how entertaining it is and how much time can go by unnoticed.

Dolphins, they have a way better time, cruising the best oceans in the world
